911 were a British
boy
band that consisted of Lee Brennan, Jimmy
Constable and Simon 'Spike' Dawbarn. The
band was formed in 1995
and in May 1996,
they released their debut single. The band split up in February
2000, when
they announced their break-up live on Chris
Moyles' Radio
1 show.
In 2005,
the members of the group reformed to participate in the ITV singing contest, Hit Me Baby One More Time.
The band have since done a nightclub tour of the UK & Ireland,
performing their most popular hits. More recently, 911 have been
confirmed as one of the acts for the College of St Hild
and St Bede's 'Out of Africa' Summer Ball, and Van
Mildert College's 'The Latin Quarter' Summer Ball, both Durham
University colleges.
Their song, "Love Sensation" was featured in the 1995
big-screen adaptation of the Harvey Comics character Casper.
