Ian Dench (born 7 August 1964, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire) is a British songwriter and musician.

Dench was the guitarist and principal songwriter for EMF, who scored a major international hit with "Unbelievable" in 1991. Before EMF, Ian was a member of Cheltenham based band Apple Mosaic who were briefly signed to A&M Records in 1987. After leaving EMF, he found some independent success with the band Whistler. He is currently working with Amanda Ghost, with whom he co-wrote "Beautiful Liar" for Beyoncé's B'Day album.
