Mark Chadwick (born 23 June 1966, Münster, Germany)
is co-founder, lead singer/songwriter
and guitarist
of the British band, The Levellers.
Early life
His father,
Geoff Chadwick was a soldier who married his mother, Hazel.
Mark Chadwick was born at the British Army Hospital in
Münster. His father's military career meant a lot of travelling between
- Germany, Colchester,
Warwick
and Northern Ireland. Geoff Chadwick's
best friend in the army was Bob Coxon, father of Graham
Coxon who went on to play in Blur,
before launching a solo career. The young Mark and Graham
were friends as youngsters.
