Martin Drew

Martin Drew (born February 11, 1944 in Northampton) is an English jazz drummer. He played with Ronnie Scott for twenty years (1975-1995) and also toured with Oscar Peterson. Although he worked extensively with Morrissey - Mullen in the 80s, he never recorded with them as such, although he did appear on his friend Dick Morrissey's solo album "After Dark" (1983) featuring another regular of the band, pianist John Critchinson, among other British jazz musicians. Drew has also been a member of a quartet with Critchinson and tenor Simon Spillett. In 2001 he also formed the group "New Jazz Couriers" with Mornington Lockett.
