Michael Gray (DJ)

Michael Anthony Shefford Gray is a DJ and house music producer who is signed to independent dance record label Eye Industries. He is also one half of the popular Dance music production/remixing duo Full Intention.

His first big hit was a house tune in the mutant disco style, called "The Weekend". The record, which similar to Junior Jack's Room 5 owed a debt to Oliver Cheatham, became a Top 10 hit in the United Kingdom when licenced through UMTV and also notched up over 20,000 plays on the radio. It also contains a sample of "Back At Ya" by Kerr, used in most of the song.

In the United States, "The Weekend" was also a top 10 hit on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2005, where it was released on Ultra Records. It was also used in a scene set in womens-only male strip club for the "Ugly Betty" episode Sofia's Choice in 2007

The follow-up to "The Weekend" is called "Borderline" and features vocals from Shelly Poole, formerly of the Top 20 recording act Alisha's Attic, it was released on the 24th July 2006. The track has so far peaked at #3 on the ARIA Club Chart and at #12 on the UK Singles Chart. His 3rd single called "Somewhere Beyond" is due out in the summer of 2007 and that is going to be followed by his debut album "Analogue Is On" in September 2007. "Somewhere Beyond" has so far peaked at #5 on the Australian ARIA Club Chart and has stayed on for 15 weeks.
