Mick Whitnall is the present lead guitarist and song writing partner for Pete Doherty's rock band, Babyshambles, replacing former guitarist Patrick Walden. Born 7 November 1968 in Doncaster. Used to spell his name Mik because it looked more Soviet and he was heavily into The Redskins. Lived in South Africa for a time when he was a young boy when his Dad got work over there.

Before this, Whitnall played with Kill City fronted by Peter Doherty's ex-girlfriend Lisa Moorish, and also in bands including Finley Quaye's band, ska band 100 Men and 1980's oi/punk outfit Skin Deep.
