Biography
Overview
Its members included John Wetton on bass,
who would later find fame as the singer and bassist for King
Crimson and Asia among other bands,
together with Roger Ball and Malcolm "Molly" Duncan on saxophones,
affectionately known as the Dundee Horns, and who would go on to form
the hugely successful The Average White Band.
The line-up was completed with Bill Harrison on drums, James Litherland
on guitar and Mike Rosen on trumpet.
Mogul Thrash released just one album, the self-titled Mogul Thrash,
which was produced by Brian Auger, in 1971.
Trivia
- Their only album was produced by Brian
Auger, who also played piano on one of the tracks. Brian Auger's
Oblivion Express featured Robbie McIntosh on drums, who would later
become a founder-member of the Average White Band. When McIntosh died
of a drug overdose in 1974, he would be substituted by another Oblivion
Express drummer, Steve Ferrone.
