The Rifles are an English indie rock band from Walthamstow, London. They are heavily influenced by The Clash, The Jam and 90s Britpop. Their debut album "No Love Lost" was released on 17 July 2006 and was produced by Ian Broudie. The band first received acclaim on the Saturday morning show Soccer am through the song Local Boy, their music is regularly played on the show. The band toured in 2006 and are playing the Lowlands festival in Holland this summer, before the release of their follow up album.

  • The band have appeared on Cult Saturday morning show Soccer AM as guests, and frequently have their music aired on the show; this included a cover of the Only Fools and Horses theme.
  • The Rifles are said to be Fans of West Ham United.
  • Guitarist Lucas Crowther earned himself the nickname 'Robin Hood' after an appearance on Soccer AM Where host Tim Lovejoy pointed out he had the same hairstyle as the Nottinghamshire legend
  • The song 'Robin Hood' was named after this when singer Joel Stoker asked the crowd to name an unnamed song at a gig, and 'Robin Hood' was the first response the boys heard and then went on to name the song after it
